The new and updated site will be up by end of July 2008. In the meantime, I thought you will enjoy a funny bio that a friend of mine wrote...
Hi! I’m Siamak and I’m a good guy. Some say I’m great, but let’s just go with good for now. I like most things and people and I laugh a lot. This doesn’t guarantee that I’ll like you in particular, but I probably will. And chances are we’ll laugh. A lot. Ok, some history for those of you that are interested in the fine print (and for those of you who are stalkers): I was born in Iran but I’ve been living in the US for a long enough time now that I don’t speak funny. Well, not that funny, at least. My family and I migrated here when I was 13; We took a journey through Pakistan on which my mother sadly passed away. Once we got to the US, I got heavily involved in the Iranian community and was even President of the Iranian Club in high school. Seriously, dude. Went to college, nothing too exciting there (made my life more interesting by promoting at clubs), but after college I lived in Korea for 6 months. Ya, you heard me, Korea. I taught English to fat Korean kids and they taught me bad words in Korean. When I came back I got involved with a short film called RACE as an Associate Producer.
Nowadays, I try to enjoy my life by involving myself in a lot of things I find interesting. By day, I own a Packaging Company which I run with my father (who is a lot like me, except older and cooler). When I’m not selling boxes, I do things like co-host the Sunday Morning Show on Iranian Radio (which has made me a hero with Old Iranian ladies), fly across country to cover cool new bands for my friends at Bebin.Tv, and I am the Co-Founder and Director of Noor Film Festival here in Los Angeles and I am about to launch two other Iranian annual events (believe me, I’m just as surprised as you are). I’m on the board of directors at West LA Chamber of Commerce and Rancho Park Rotary Club 08-09 (...Service above self…) I have plaques on my wall to prove it, too....aaaaand, I write an advice column on iPersians.com. What can I say, I like to make people happy. When I’m not doing all that, I make jokes with my friends and listen to ABJEEZ 24/7. Oh… I know a lot of cool and important people too. So in conclusion: Don’t be a hater and page me. Thanks, you’re a good kid. Email me.
